Congrats to Anna Krumm, Alanna MacKenzie, Collin Hogsett and Emma Reynolds for having their artwork selected by Rep. Elissa Slotkin. They are in the running to win a free flight to Washington D.C. and having their artwork displayed in the Tunnel.

susan lorenz memorial art show
April 22nd was an amazing night for our 2nd Annual Williamston Community Schools Fine Arts Festival. Hundreds of people of all ages joined together to celebrate the fine arts. Students from Kindergarten to 12th grade performed songs, skits, and showcased their artwork. A community sing along to "Sweet Caroline" created a sense of unity in the packed gymnasium.
The winners of the adjudicated Susan Lorenz Memorial Art Show were announced and received their certificates. Ten Honorable Mentions went to:

Guy Pennington (10th grade)
Lauren Schafer (7th grade)
Aliana Hermann-Campana (9th grade)
Bella Spagnuolo (10th grade)
Carter Belanger (Kindergarten)

Allie Alford (12th grade)
And the $150 purchase award went to 7th grader Seth Pennington for Best of Show.

The Region 8 Student Art Show is in full swing at The Bistro (formerly known as Gracie's Contemporary Bistro). We have 4 students who have artwork on exhibit there and one student whose artwork went on to the Statewide Top 100 Student Artist Exhibit being held later this spring.

Votes help determine the People’s Choice Awards and a School Spirit Award that is given to the high school that draws the most votes. Prizes include $300 for first place winners, $200 for second place winners, $100 for third place winners and cash prizes for 10 honorable mentions. One student will also be awarded $50 for winning the Social Media Award for gaining the most “likes” on the MSUFCU Art Exhibit Facebook page. Three local artists will judge the student's artwork.
